MORE ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is LaKayla Thompson. I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. I attended and graduated from the number one high school in the state of Kansas: Sumner Academy of Arts & Sciences with a 4.3 cumulative GPA. I am a recent 2020 graduate from the number one HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) in the nation: Spelman College, in Atlanta, Georgia. A Summa Cum Laude honoree, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies. 

I aspire to become an educational policy analyst for a state's department of education and the White House, as well as the founder and leader of national and global all-girls, faith-based schools.

Faith, ambition, and individuality, are three personal values that drive my work, and two words I would use to describe me are vibrant and future-oriented.

One fun fact about me is that I love performing. My senior year in high school I debuted in our spring musical, Cinderella, as stepsister Grace.
